Statistical and geostatistical analysis of the radon database of risk zones in Belgium
The project aims at obtaining a state-of-the-art method of determining the potential indoor hazard based on a wide variety of information contained in the existing database by:
- collecting additional technical information for the analytical work:
- recomposing the geological map of the Eastern Cantons and adding information on local fracture systems
- performing a detailed analysis of selected test zones in order to assess the influence of small-scale geological features on the anisotropy in radon concentrations
- geostatistical analysis of the indoor and soilgas database
- validation of the modeled potential indoor map
- composing an ArcGIS database
- recomposing a model map for the radon hazard by integration of geological elements
